Aviador is a typeface created during the Specialization in Typography Design course at the University of Buenos Aires. It was designed for the composition of books of young adult literature.
The concept of the project is inspired by the idea of “flying”, frequently present in the texts of the Colombian writer Jairo Aníbal Niño, who passed away in 2010. This typeface is a tribute to him and his influence on Colombian young adult literature.
This project was part of the international typography student exhibition at the Ampersand Conference 2013, in Brighton - UK; it was at the I Muestra de Tipógrafos Emergentes in Granada, Spain in 2014 and at the Tipos Latinos 2014 exhibition.
